Fairies, nymphs, and all forms of magical creatures descended upon Los Angeles this past weekend as The Labyrinth of Jareth Masquerade Ball held its annual gala. Now in its 20th year, the cultural experience, visual festivity, and dance event transports guests to a world where fantasy and reality meld and they are allowed to reveal the true nature of the creature that stirs within. The evening was equal parts revelry and theater as attendees were treated to artistic performances by the artists of Sypher, fantasy themed grand rooms, and all forms of music to dance the night away. There was even a Royal Tea Room where patrons dined on small eats and sipped tea like nobles. As for the venue itself, The Biltmore Hotel, it was both historic and opulent and the perfect backdrop for such a grand event. But, as is the case with any masquerade deserving of the name, it was all about the costumes. The ensembles were exquisite and extraordinary. See for yourself:
Here’s to hoping next year’s goblins create an affair that’s as intoxicating and enchanting as this one!
