It was business as usual at L.A.’s hottest venue, The Echoplex, but for the headliner Smoke Season, it was anything but ordinary. The dynamic duo, Jason Rosen and Gabrielle Wortman, have broken through the indie music scene and quickly becoming one of the most sought out bands to see live. With plenty of layered electro-pop and a collection of spirited and dreamy rock songs, this was one show not to be missed.
Smoke Season’s latest music video is a cover of Lionel Richie’s “Hello” featuring wardrobe and design from stylist Zoe Zhou who is also known as Beyonce’s stylist. The video is sexy and intriguing as Wortman sways through an elegant home in multiple outfits while Rosen hammers on the guitar in the shadows of hallway.
The force behind Smoke Season’s illustrious music and stage presence is what keeps the fans coming back for more and more each time they play their hometown. Their next show is later this month with future shows listed on their website. We keep our fingers cross for more releases from Smoke Season in the very near future.
